A. Data collection

We process data every time our services are used. Your visit to our websites is documented. Essentially, the IP address currently used by your end device, date and time, browser type and the operating system of your end device, as well as the pages viewed by you, are recorded. A personal reference to individuals is generally not possible and also not intended.

C. Data use, purpose of processing and legal basis

The personal data which you share with us, for example when sending a request or query by e-mail (such as your name and address), will only be used for correspondence with you and only for the purpose for which you made this data available to us. Specific purposes can be found in the tables below:

Data processing for a legitimate interest:

  • Data: Origin, language, operating system, device, browser, user actions on the website, IP address
  • Purposes: Online marketing, analysis of site use
  • Interests: Advertisement blend-ins customised according to user interests.

 

  • Data: First name, surname, e-mail address
  • Purposes: Sending of newsletters, product information, offers, technical support
  • Interests: Personalised address in e-mail communications

The legal basis for collecting and processing the above data is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Point f of the GDPR.

In addition, we only collect personal data if you have given your explicit consent. The purpose of collecting data can be found in the relevant section of this privacy policy. The legal basis for processing data with consent is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Point a of the GDPR.

D. Data transfer

We will only transfer your data to the following recipients:

• Our advertising partners for analysing who uses our website;

• CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Mühlenstr. 43, 26180 Rastede, Germany for sending our newsletters. For further information, please note Section H below.

We assure you that we do not forward your personal data to third parties, unless we are legally bound to do so or you have given us your prior consent. Whenever we use service providers to perform and process operations, the contractual relationships are regulated in accordance with the provisions of the German Federal Data Protection Act. 

In association with Google Analytics, data may be transferred to servers in the USA

The EU Commission has issued an adequacy decision, the EU-US Privacy Shield, certifying that the data protection standards of the participating organisations are identical with those in the EU. The service provider we use (Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”)) has certification. E. Your rights

1. Information

On request we will send you information free of charge about all personal data we have stored about you.

2. Correction, deletion, restriction of use (blockage), objection

If you no longer wish to have your personal data stored or if this data is no longer accurate or correct, we shall at your request proceed to delete or block your data or make the necessary corrections (to the extent possible under applicable law). The same shall apply if we are to be restrictive in our processing of your data in the future.

3. Data transmission

We store your data in a transmittable form, enabling the data to be transmitted to another organisation at your request.

4. Exercising your rights

Should you have any questions about how your personal data are processed, or if you wish to request information, correction, blocking or deletion of data or to lodge an objection, or if you want your data to be transferred to another organisation, please contact:contact@clecotools.com. 

5. Right of complaint

Furthermore, you also have the right to lodge a complaint to the responsible supervisory authority.

6. Please note

Data for which we are unable to identify the person concerned or which have been anonymised for the purpose of analysis are not subject to the above rights. Delivery, deletion, blockage, correction or transmission of such data to another organisation are only possible if you provide further information that enables us to identify your data.

F. Revocation of consent with future effect

You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect. Data for invoicing and accounting purposes is not affected by a termination/revocation or a deletion. Your revocation will not affect the legality of processing conducted to that point in time.

G. Storage period

Personal data entered on our website is stored until the purpose for which it was provided to us has been fulfilled. The storage period for certain data may be up to 10 years if retention periods stipulated by commercial or tax law have to be observed.

H. Newsletter

Subscribing to the newsletter means your forename, surname and e-mail address are used with your consent for our own advertising purposes. With your subscription you grant the following consent:

The newsletter is sent using the newsletter distribution software "CleverReach" of CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Mühlenstr. 43, 26180 Rastede, Germany. Data that we have received in connection with the newsletter will therefore also be forwarded to CleverReach. CleverReach undertakes to save newsletter data exclusively on secure servers in the EU or EEA and only to use the data on our behalf to send and evaluate the newsletter. Cookies are used to analyse our newsletter. d) Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google").

Please note that this website uses Google Analytics with the "_anonymizeIp()" function. With this function, IP addresses are only stored in an anonymous form. This means there can be no direct personal reference in connection with the stored data.

J. Use of AddThis  

Functions of the AddThis bookmarking service are embedded in our website. We use the c’t "Shariff" button from Heise. This is only a link and not a so-called "social plugin". If you do not use the AddThis button, then no information is transferred to AddThis and no cookie is set on your computer by AddThis. As soon as you click on the c’t Shariff button, the bookmark overview page of AddThis opens in a new window. Only then is data transferred to AddThis. Pages within AddThis are operated exclusively by AddThis LLC, Inc. 8000 Westpark Drive, Suite 625, McLean, VA 2210, USA (AddThis). K. Social media plugins

The other buttons (Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn) are merely graphics which link to our social media profiles, they are also not so-called "social plugins". If you do not use the buttons, then no information is sent to the respective providers and no cookies are set on your computer by these service providers. As soon as you click on one of the buttons, you are forwarded to our social media profile with the respective provider; only then is data transferred to this provider. Pages within Facebook are operated exclusively by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA, within YouTube exclusively by YouTube LLC, 901 

Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, and within LinkedIn exclusively by LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

L. TLS encryption

We protect the transmission of your data with a secure (AES 256 bit) TLS connection. TLS (Transport Layer Security) is a security technology that guarantees that your personal data is securely transferred on the internet and cannot be viewed by third parties.
